In a community outreach event held in Chittupur, local residents were engaged in a discussion about the pressing issues in their society. The event aimed to gather information on the challenges faced by the people and to raise awareness about various government schemes. Officials provided knowledge about educational opportunities, future planning, and government facilities available to the community. Additionally, feedback was collected regarding problems related to the implementation and accessibility of these government services. The event helped bridge the gap between the community and governmental support, ensuring that local concerns were heard and addressed.
What Was Done
A questionnaire (via Google Form) was shared with all volunteers, covering all important questions and topics while keeping a comprehensive record. Volunteers conducted home visits to gather information about the challenges faced by residents. A collective decision was made to tackle the community’s issues, focusing on raising awareness and implementing relevant initiatives. It was agreed to host an event to help underprivileged individuals apply for various support schemes.
Findings
It was found that many people were totally unaware of running government schemes which could possibly benefit them, and even if some people were aware of schemes they were troubled about how to apply for it. Some influential people of society were engaged in corruption and were asking for bribes from people to get their work done. Large numbers of people were surveyed and their problems were thoroughly noted down. It was found that there is urgent need of spreading awareness among local population.
